OPENING: Tuesday, February 15th from 6-8pm
844 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA, 90038

On view: Tuesday February 15th through Sunday February 20th, 11am- 6pmArtboard-1-1The Hole is delighted to announce the opening of a big ol’ Hole in Los Angeles. The gallery’s third permanent space, 8000 sq. ft. at 844 N La Brea Ave in Hollywood, will open this Tuesday with an experimental group show and performance haha, as we are ALMOST ready to open for you! New Construction reinterprets the gallery’s first ever show, Not Quite Open For Business (2010) where half-finished artworks in a half-finished space kicked off the founding of the gallery.

Here in L.A., visitors will experience the installation of the first group show “live,” from 6 to 8pm, as the gallery team unwraps and hangs each piece. Contributions are coming in from all around the world, past and future artists! All shiny and new, just like our almost-completely renovated space 🙂  New Construction will be followed by solo exhibitions by Jonathan Chapline in April and Adam Parker Smith in June.

The digging of The Hole Los Angeles—which follows our opening of a second Hole in Tribeca in April 2021—marks the gallery’s expansion to the West Coast, building upon its longstanding success as a mainstay in New York’s contemporary art scene. This third exhibition space will usher in new audiences to The Hole’s dynamic programming, and allow us to foster new relationships and maintain closer contact with artists based in the region.
