Lives and works in New York

Johnny Abrahams’ paintings speak the language of Minimalism suffused with an op-art strategy and sensibility and an affinity for the post-war tradition of the shaped canvas. A native of Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Abrahams’ work has appeared in solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally at The Hole and Jack Hanley in New York, Vigo Gallery in London, and Mediaforms in San Francisco. Recent group exhibitions include “Two on Two” at The Hole, “Summer Mixer” and “Delineation” at Joshua Liner Gallery, New York, and “What’s Up New York”, a pop up exhibition curated by Lawrence Van Hagen which took over an entire three story building in Chelsea.
