BEN JONES

Ben Jones (b. 1977, Pittsburgh, PA) lives and works in Providence, RI. He holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, MA. Jones has presented in a variety of solo and group exhibitions internationally at Galleri Loyal, Malmo, Sweden, MACRO Museum, Rome, Italy, Bergen Kunsthall, Norway, Max Wigrum, and the TATE, London, UK, Peres Projects, Berlin Germany, and Deitch Projects, Foxy Production, The Museum of Modern Art, and The Hole, New York, NY, among others. He recently had a solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, CA. His work has been discussed in The New York Timesi-DTokion, and ArtReview.

Jones has also produced work for the Simpsons, WU TANG COMICS, Adult Swim, along with a smattering of music video credits and pieces of furniture.  Jones’ work is a mash-up of all of his passions in life, with equally balanced influences from the music, graphic design, technology, and of course art worlds. His works seem to envision a minimalistic version of the future, pulsing with sharp color and a clear narrative regarding where our culture seems to be heading.
